TOKYO August 12, 2009 - Coming up this September 26th, K-1 will hold the  FieLDS K-1 WORLD GP 2009 IN SEOUL -FINAL 16- at the Seoul Olympic Stadium No. 1.

The eight winners of that event will go on to compete for the WGP Championship in December. Several slots were filled with this year's tournament winners from around the globe, but there were still some choice spots open until last night's tournament. Today, at the follow-up press conference for yesterday's Final Elimination Tournament, K-1 Event Producer Sadaharu Tanikawa announced 13 fighters who would be participating in the Final 16 event.
