R2 – Franklin goes right back to the leg kick. Hamill shoots in, but Franklin unleashes a flurry of punch and kick combinations. On the break, the referee stops to have Franklin’s cut check, which looks like there is a loose flap of skin hanging from the corner of his eye now. The fight continues and Franklin continues to punish Hamill with a solid combination of punches and kicks. Franklin scores a kick to the face of Hamill, who hangs in tough, before he receives an inadvertent kick to the groin. They start back up, Franklin continuing to the push the pace with his striking. Franklin does a good job defending Hamill’s takedown attempts, and is causing Hamill to limp from the repeated leg kicks and continues his barrage as the round closes. R3 – Round three starts much the same with Franklin accumulating damage with his strikes, then he lands a solid left kick to the ribs of Hamill, dropping him to the mat. Franklin follows him down to start throwing punches, but the referee immediately steps in to stop the fight. Rich Franklin defeated Matt Hamill by TKO (Kick to Ribs) at 0:39, R3 R2 – Henderson fends off a couple of takedowns by Palhares, landing the right hand on the shot, but Palhares finally scoops Henderson up and puts him on his back. Palhares goes for a leg and nearly secures a heel hook, but Henderson scrambles out and back to the feet. Henderson scores with a left and follows with the right before they go the ground with Henderson in Palhares’ guard. Henderson stays tight in the guard defending the sweep, while dropping intermittent elbows. They are stood back up. Henderson scores with a straight right. The pace slows through the middle of the round. Henderson scores with the right hand again. Henderson mixes in the jab and scores the right again, defends Palhares’ takedown attempt and drops a hammer fist before returning to the feet. Palhares goes for a knee bar, but Henderson defends immediately, and scores again with the right hand and the fight finishes with Palhares on his back eating a couple of Henderson shots for good measure. Good flying knee attempt by Kim before Brown unloads some solid knees of his own from a Thai clinch. Kim attempts a takedown, but Brown defends well, stays in top position and starts to work Kim over with short punches. Brown takes Kim down, stands up in guard and eats and up-kick before spinning back into guard and dropping punches. He then lets Kim come up to standing and starts in with knees from the Thai clinch. Brown takes Kim down and unleashes an onslaught of punches and elbows to close the round. R3 – Kim looks more and more weary as the fight wears on. Action is stopped briefly as Brown forgot his mouthpiece. After a minute of careful exchanges, Kim takes Brown down, but they get back up quickly and Brown lands a solid knee to Kim’s chin. He then starts working the body with knees again. Kim lands a strong left hook with little over two minutes left in the fight, they clinch, and Kim gets the takedown. Back in action, Tavares keeps pursuing Pellegrino, but it's Pellegrino who lands the better strikes while Tavares looks for the takedown. Eventually, Tavares scores a nice trip takedown as he works for punches and elbow strikes. Pellegrino shifts his hips from the bottom and locks on an armbar, but Tavares gets out. It appears on replay that he may have tapped, but the fight isn't stopped. Tavares then continues his ground attack, with forearms, elbows and hammer fists. Very, very close round. R3- Another very hard fought round between the two lightweights. Tavares shoots early looking for the takedown, but Pellegrino holds on to his neck almost getting a guillotine before forcing his opponent down.
