Will you fight in Affliction in October? Then, in December will you face Belfort?
I hope I get the opportunity to Face Vitor in December he is a very good opponent and it would be an honor to face him in the ring I pray he has a fast recovery

When was released that you were supposed to fight Belfort, some Brazilian people said you would lose because Belfort has a sharper striking and a more advanced Jiu-Jitsu. Do you really think Belfort would be the favorite one in this fight?
I don’t care if I am favorite or underdog I just go out and fight to win and put on a good fight for the fans. Vitor does have more traditional striking and my style is more unorthodox this does not make his striking better necessary.. His Jui-Jitsu is better because I have never studied Jui-Jisu although I have submitted and beat many famous Brazilian Black Belt using my wrestling

Could you talk about your problem against UFC, for those one who don't know about this story?
There really is no problem I just get better deals not fighting in UFC for now

Couture is a former member from Team Quest. Do you still keep touch with him? When you think he will be fighting Fedor?
Randy and I are still good friends and yes we stay in touch, I train at his gym a some before my last fight. I had dinner at his house and hung out with him and his family. The last time he was in Oregon he came over to see my new house. Not sure about Rand’s contract situation but I do know he is doing well outside of fighting, he would also love to fight again

What did you think about the fight between Sylvia and Fedor?
Wow that was quick. I just wasn’t Tim night and Fedor is the best

Is there any rumor about who will be your next opponent in Affliction?
Sounds like Trevor Prangly is a done deal

What do you think about the fighters of your division? It became kind of boring since Anderson Silva is reigning it. Do you see any fighter who could take his place at the throne? Tell us why do you think it.
I would beat Anderson I am a bad match up for him and would just at the opportunity to prove it

Is there any raising star in Team Quest that you would like to comment about?
We have many rising Stars so many it’s hard to mention all Ryan Schultz current IFL Champion is with Sengoku and looking to win LW tournament, Chris Wilson Coming of his win in UFC, Matt Horwich just signed with UFC, and of course Chael Sonnen who is going to take WEC Title from Paulo Filho and many more young talented guys you will hear more about

Give us your comments about your fight against Fabio Negão.
I think Negao is a talented up and coming fighter I was looking to finish him and make short night but he had other ideas and put on a very good fight he was very tough not to tap in that choke Fabio has a bright future

How many fights do you still have in your contract with Affliction?
You will see a lot of me in Affliction

What was the impression that you got fighting Fedor? Is he that unbeatable fighter like Sylvia said or you could find some flaws on his gameplan?
None is unbeatable right now he is the best but this level anyone can be beaten

You are a Olympic medalist. Now that we are in the Olympics month, could you tell us how did you feel earning a medal for your country? What is the difference between being a Olympic medalist and winning in a major MMA organization?
It was an Honor to represent my country I believe I live in the best country in the world. I best part about MMA over wrestling is you get to punch and kick you opponent in wrestling this is not allowed so MMA is much more exciting and that is why MMA has many more fans than wrestling
